Job title: Emergency Medical Technician/First Responder (PRN)
About the Role Cape Fox Concentric Methods is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and First Responders (PRN) to provide on-site safety monitoring and immediate Basic Life Support during USPIS Physical Fitness Exams. This role supports testing events conducted by the United States Postal Inspection Service.
What You'll Do
- Set up and break down testing environments at assigned locations to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
- Monitor applicant health during testing and respond promptly to medical incidents.
- Provide first aid and basic emergency care (e.g., CPR, bleeding control, splinting) and coordinate 911 onsite if needed, continuing care until arrival.
- Regularly check and maintain the readiness of the first aid kit.
- Document all medical incidents and coordinate follow-up actions with the program's medical oversight team.
- Assist in implementing preventative safety measures and safety checks before and during testing.
- Sessions are scheduled in three-hour blocks; EMT typically works three hours per event.
- Travel requirements: 0–10%.
What We're Looking For
- Current state EMT-B certification.
- 1–2 years of field experience responding to medical events in fitness, athletic, or occupational environments.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of injury prevention, physical exertion risks, and relevant treatment protocols.
- Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Authorization to work in the United States (per IRCA).
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $35.87 per hour for up to 40 hours per week (base $30.78 + $5.09 Health & Welfare).
