About the Role
Emergency Medical Technician/First Responder (PRN) position to provide on-site safety monitoring and immediate basic life support (BLS) during USPIS Physical Fitness Exams. The role is PRN, with three-hour blocks per event, supporting safety and medical coverage at testing sites.
What You'll Do

Set up and break down testing environments at assigned locations to ensure safety and efficiency.

Monitor applicant health status during testing and respond promptly to medical incidents.

Provide first aid and basic emergency care (CPR, bleeding control, splinting); request 911 on-site if needed and provide care until EMS arrival.

Maintain readiness of first aid kit; restock supplies as needed.

Document all medical incidents and coordinate follow-up with the program's medical oversight team.

Assist in implementing preventative safety measures and conduct safety checks before and during testing.

What We're Looking For

Current state EMT-B certification.

1–2 years of field experience responding to medical events in fitness, athletic, or occupational environments.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Strong knowledge of injury prevention, physical exertion risks, and relevant treatment protocols.

Ability to maintain calm demeanor and make sound decisions under pressure.

Authorization to work in the United States (per IRCA).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $35.87 per hour for up to 40 hours per week (base $30.78 + $5.09 Health & Welfare).
