About the Role Cape Fox Concentric Methods is seeking Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/First Responders on-call for on-site safety monitoring and immediate Basic Life Support (BLS) response during Physical Fitness Exams for the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS). The role supports testing events by providing medical readiness, rapid response, and incident documentation. What You'll Do
- Set up and break down testing environments at assigned locations to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Monitor applicant health status during testing activities and respond promptly to medical incidents.
- Assess and provide first aid and basic emergency care (e.g., CPR, bleeding control, splinting); request 911 onsite support if needed and provide care until arrival.
- Regularly check and maintain the readiness of the first aid kit.
- Document all medical incidents thoroughly and coordinate follow-up actions with the program’s medical oversight team.
- Assist in implementing preventative safety measures and conducting safety checks before and during testing to minimize risks.
- Schedule sessions in three-hour blocks with EMT typically working three hours per event; travel up to 10% as required. What We're Looking For
- Current state EMT-B certification.
- 1–2 years of field experience responding to medical events in fitness, athletic, or occupational environments.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of injury prevention, physical exertion risks, and relevant treatment protocols.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and demonstrate sound decision-making under pressure.
- Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Compensation & Benefits
- Total hourly pay: $35.87 per hour for up to 40 hours per week (base rate $30.78 + $5.09 Health & Welfare).
- Travel: 0–10% of time.

- This is a on-call/PRN, non-exempt contract position with schedule blocks of three hours per event.
