About the Role Cape Fox Concentric Methods is seeking Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/First Responders (PRN) to provide on-site safety monitoring and immediate Basic Life Support (BLS) response during United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Physical Fitness Exams. This on-call, on-site role supports the USPS Inspector program by ensuring rapid medical response and safety oversight during testing events. What You'll Do
- Set up and dismantle testing environments at assigned locations to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
- Monitor applicant health status during testing activities and respond promptly to medical incidents.
- Provide first aid and basic emergency care (CPR, bleeding control, splinting); request 911 onsite support if needed and provide care until arrival.
- Maintain readiness of the first aid kit; check and restock supplies.
- Document all medical incidents thoroughly and coordinate follow-up actions with the program's medical oversight team.
- Assist in implementing preventative safety measures and conduct safety checks before and during testing to minimize risks.
- Sessions are scheduled in three-hour blocks with the EMT typically working three hours per event. What We're Looking For
- Current state EMT-B certification required.
- 1–2 years of field experience responding to medical events in fitness, athletic, or occupational environments.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Willingness to work on-site at USPIS testing locations and cover PRN as needed.
- Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to coordinate with medical oversight. Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: total of $35.87 per hour for up to 40 hours per week (base rate $30.78 + $5.09 Health & Welfare).
- This is a non-exempt position.
