Job title: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Logan Health Ambulance Services is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) to provide navigation of medical care and services for assigned areas, respond to emergencies, deliver Basic Life Support, and transport patients to appropriate facilities. This full-time role supports our mission of quality, compassionate care and may require work at multiple MT locations based on operational needs.
What You'll Do
- Provide EMT care through Basic Life Support (BLS) in pre-hospital 911 settings and inter-facility transport
- Accurately and efficiently complete documentation, patient care reports, and other required records per department protocol
- Demonstrate competency with required EMS computer programs; assist with data collection and report generation
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Operate ambulances, communication devices, patient care equipment, extraction equipment, and other emergency response tools
- Provide direction and assistance to stakeholders and public safety personnel as needed
- Perform BLS assessments for patients requiring ALS care and transport
- Assist incident command at scene responses and support patient care coordination during emergencies
- Monitor equipment for proper function, report malfunctions, restock supplies, and maintain clean vehicles and work areas
- Perform Emergency Room Technician tasks and provide patient care support as applicable
- Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, patient care standards, and safety protocols
- The above duties are representative; assignments may vary and not all duties may be required
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance as scheduled
What We're Looking For
- Current EMT-B licensure required; National Registry EMT certification preferred
- Current Driver’s License required with a good driving record; certain violations/convictions may disqualify
- RQI Provider (BLS) within seven days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care
- Demonstrates commitment to excellence with high standards and quality patient outcomes

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional EMS software as needed
