Job title: EMEA Category Buyer for Services
About the Role ONE ContiTech – The first choice for material-driven solutions. Join ContiTech as EMEA Category Buyer for Services to drive regional purchasing across Europe, Middle East and Africa, optimise costs, and build strong supplier partnerships. You’ll work with the Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager to deliver commercial, logistical and process improvements for internal customers and partners.
What You'll Do
- Drive all related purchasing activities in the EMEA region related to HR Services (e.g., temp labor, trainings and seminars, security services, employee benefits) and related areas.
- Manage sourcing for Consulting, marketing and communication services; Travel, fleet and food related products and services, together with the Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager.
- Drive negotiations considering best commercial and operational aspects and ensure compliance with valid rules.
- Identify synergy potential where- and whenever possible.
- Ensure full coverage of all business requirements in the received offers; drive contractual coverage.
- Support operational improvements by negotiating commercial benefits.
- Keep alignment between purchasing and internal customer strategy.
- Complete handling of the ordering process via CTOS and SAP, including any complaints handling as well as internal and external communication.
- Prepare and conduct tenders, offer comparisons, and contract negotiations for complex procurement projects in the defined areas, in cooperation with Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager.
- Create and compile Sourcing Decisions Sheets, ensure BPBoC and NDA signatures, collect financial and commercial records, identify and develop vendors.
- Ensure that agreements are created, approved and signed and communicate to the plants inside the region.
- Support and management of special projects.
What We're Looking For
- University Degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Masters) preferred with extensive experience and related certifications; at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a multi-country or EMEA environment.
- Strong analytic and conceptual competence and data interpretation skills with proficiency in Excel.
- Exceptional communicator capable of communicating effectively within a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment at all levels.
- Confident handling of SAP R/3 + S/4 and MS Office.
- Independent and responsible way of working with quick comprehension.
- Advanced negotiating skills, assertiveness, goal- and result-oriented work.
- Fluent in English (writing and speaking); German language skills are a plus.
- Experience in project management.
