Job title: EMEA Category Buyer for Services
About the Role As EMEA Category Buyer for Services in ContiTech Purchasing, you will be responsible for regional tactical purchasing across Europe, Middle East and Africa, driving cost optimization and building strong supplier partnerships. You will collaborate with the Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager to create value for internal customers.
What You'll Do
- Drive all related purchasing activities in the EMEA region related to HR Services (temp labor, trainings and seminars, security services, employee benefits, etc.) and for consulting, marketing and communication services; travel, fleet and food related products and services with the Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager.
- Lead negotiations considering commercial and operational aspects and ensure compliance with applicable rules.
- Identify synergy potential where possible and ensure full coverage of business requirements in received offers; drive contractual coverage.
- Support operational improvements by negotiating commercial benefits.
- Maintain alignment between purchasing and internal customer strategy.
- Complete handling of the ordering process via CTOS and SAP, including complaints handling and internal/external communication.
- Prepare and conduct tenders, offer comparisons, and contract negotiations for complex procurement projects in the defined areas, in cooperation with the Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager.
- Create and compile Sourcing Decisions Sheets, ensure BPBoC and NDA signatures, collect financial/commercial records, identify and develop vendors.
- Ensure that agreements are created, approved and signed and communicate to plants inside the region.
- Support and management of special projects.
What We're Looking For
- University Degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Masters) preferred and extensive experience; at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a multi-country or EMEA environment.
- Strong analytic and conceptual competence and data interpretation skills with proficiency in Excel.
- Exceptional communicator capable of communicating effectively within a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment as well as all levels.
- Confident handling of SAP R/3 + S/4 and MS Office.
- Independent and responsible way of working with quick comprehension.
- Advanced negotiating skills, assertiveness, goal- and result-oriented.
- Fluent in English (writing and speaking) and German (writing and speaking); Hungarian language skills is a plus.
- Experience in project management.
