About this role
About the Role Join Alstom in Toronto as a full-time EMC Engineer to ensure electromagnetic compatibility of railway products in 25KV traction power environments. You will collaborate with signalling, product design, and testing teams to enforce EMC design rules, lead 25KV immunization activities, and prepare specifications and compliance documentation. This role applies EMC expertise to both existing and new railway systems to help deliver greener and smarter mobility. What You'll Do
- Enforce EMC design rules across all signalling subsystems
- Solve EMC-related challenges encountered in projects
- Prepare EMC Transverse Requirements Specifications and Control Plans
- Verify the design of products and subsystems for EMC compliance
- Prepare and review EMC test specifications and reports
- Conduct EMC tests in labs and on-site, and deliver associated reports
- Develop and improve EMC guidelines, processes, and tools
- Share and spread EMC/EMI knowledge within the engineering community
- Lead 25KV immunization activities for signalling equipment What We're Looking For
- Engineering Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics, with specialization in EMI/EMC
- P.Eng certification (or in progress)
- More than 5 years of EMI/EMC experience in sectors such as railway, military, aeronautics, or automotive
- Knowledge of railway systems and 25KV power traction environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English
- Excellent writing skills with clarity, rigor, and concision
- Open-mindedness and a multidisciplinary approach

- Salary: CAD 80,000 – 110,000 per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus
