About the Role Inside CNH, the Software Core Technologies team offers versatile reusable software components solving common needs across CNH platforms and end products. The Embedded Software Engineer will contribute by developing C++ software that runs on a custom Embedded platform (display or dedicated controller) to enable user interaction and control of agricultural and other off-road vehicles. What You'll Do
- Provide suggestions and strategies for architectural-based solutions and perform deep-dive root-cause analyses for issues in testing and the field.
- Contribute to the team in the creation of work breakdowns and estimates for directed tasks within an Agile approach.
- Develop solutions for precision farming applications in off-road vehicles using ISOBUS (ISO 11783), Universal Terminal and Task Controller, and interfacing with CAN or UDS protocols using tools such as VECTOR CANalyzer.
- Develop software applications using C++ for embedded platforms.
- Conduct unit testing and pre-integration performance checks of software.
- Use software development tools for version control, code reviews, and CI/CD, and document during the design and release phases. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
- C++ software development experience on Embedded Systems, ideally in automotive or off-road industries.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating system architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, JFrog, etc.
