About the Role
TeamAce Limited is recruiting an Email Forensics Specialist for a client in the IT infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will investigate email-related security incidents, analyze digital evidence, identify cyber threats, and support incident response activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate phishing attacks, email spoofing, business email compromise (BEC), and other email security incidents.
- Analyze email headers, metadata, attachments, server logs, and message routing to trace suspicious activities.
- Collect, preserve, and document digital evidence while maintaining proper chain of custody.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT infrastructure teams to investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Prepare forensic reports and provide technical recommendations for incident response and security improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in digital forensics, cybersecurity, incident response, or email security investigations.
- Strong knowledge of SMTP, IMAP, POP3, email header analysis, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Google Workspace security.
- Proficiency in forensic tools such as FTK, EnCase, Autopsy, Wireshark, or Microsoft Purview.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills.
- Certifications such as CHFI, GCFA, GCFE, or CEH are an added advantage.
