The opportunity
We're looking for an Electronic Technician - MRO to join our team, supporting the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aerospace components. You'll play an important role in ensuring components are repaired, tested and maintained to the required standards, helping to keep aircraft operating safely and reliably.
The role will initially be based at our Staverton site before relocating to our Tewkesbury facility at some point in 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your technical skills to an established operation before becoming part of our growing Tewkesbury site, helping to shape the future of our maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities.
This is a hands-on role where you'll apply your electronics knowledge, fault-finding abilities and attention to detail to diagnose, repair and test electronic components. Whether you already have practical component-level fault-finding experience or bring strong theoretical electronics knowledge, we're interested in the skills and potential you can bring to the team.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on electronic components and assemblies in line with customer instructions.
- Performing electronic testing and fault diagnosis down to component level to identify faults and support effective repairs.
- Following detailed engineering drawings, technical instructions and specifications to complete work accurately.
- Using appropriate test equipment and procedures to verify component functionality and ensure products meet the required specifications.
- Carrying out soldering activities, including through-hole and surface-mount soldering, in line with relevant standards.
- Accurately recording test results and maintaining technical documentation.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet deadlines, achieve targets and maintain high standards of quality.
What you'll bring
- Experience working within an assembly and test environment.
- Practical experience maintaining and repairing hydraulic and electromechanical units and sub-assemblies.
- Experience in fault-finding down to board level.
- Soldering experience, including through-hole and surface-mount soldering to 711, 610 and J-STD standards.
- A relevant apprenticeship or equivalent practical, hands-on experience.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
Desirable: Previous aerospace or aviation experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. We also welcome transferable experience from roles such as Assembly Technician, Repair Technician, Fitter, Assembler or Tester.
