Job title: Electromechanical Assembler
About the Role Assemble, test, maintain, or calibrate automated, servo-mechanical or electro-mechanical equipment. May perform complex electrical wiring and/or mechanical assembly of robotics equipment/machines.
What You'll Do
- Assemble fabricated and purchased parts using assembly drawings and parts lists
- Mechanical assembly requiring fitting, alignment and adjustments to close tolerances
- Perform mechanical alterations
- Use hand and power tools for assembly
- Use test equipment to perform functional testing
- Read and interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematics/wiring diagrams
- Test performance of electromechanical assemblies using test instruments i.e. oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
- Inspect parts for surface defects
- Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using hand tools
- Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) preferred in electronics or machining
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in machine repair and building; automotive repairs and troubleshooting
- Tools/Equipment: Experience with oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Travel: Ability to travel without restriction up to 30%
