About the Role The role involves assembling, testing, maintaining, and calibrating automated, servo-mechanical or electro-mechanical equipment. It may include electrical wiring and mechanical assembly of robotics equipment and machines.
What You'll Do
- Assemble fabricated and purchased parts using assembly drawings and parts lists
- Mechanical assembly requiring fitting, alignment and adjustments to close tolerances
- Perform mechanical alterations
- Use hand and power tools for assembly
- Use test equipment to perform functional testing
- Read and interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematics/wiring diagrams
- Test performance of electromechanical assemblies using test instruments such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
- Inspect parts for surface defects
- Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using hand tools
- Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
