Job title: Electrician
About the Role The Electrician will perform maintenance work on electrical systems across Yankee Candle facilities, designing, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment in production and other areas. This role requires strong knowledge of circuits, motors, PLCs, control panels, and reading schematics, and will support continuous operations and equipment reliability.
What You'll Do
- Design, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of electrical circuitry including motors, control panels, PLC operated machinery, heating units, lighting, etc.
- Read electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics.
- Work independently on assigned projects with good decision-making, initiative, and ingenuity.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Support production equipment maintenance across Yankee Candle facilities.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; valid Massachusetts State Journeyman Electrician license (photocopy required).
- Ability to read/write English; able to read electrical and mechanical blueprints.
- 1-2 years' experience installing, maintaining and repairing electrical work on production equipment in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently; strong initiative and judgment.
Nice to Have
- 1-2 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance (preferred).
- PLC familiarity and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Massachusetts base pay range: $38.00 - $48.00/hour. Salary will be based on experience.
