About the Role The Electrician at Bowling Green State University provides electrical maintenance, servicing, and repair of campus infrastructure under supervision, including responding to emergencies and supporting events outside regular hours. What You'll Do
- Perform general electrical work, including installation, repair, and preventative maintenance.
- Assist in locating utilities in response to OUPS requests.
- Install and troubleshoot utility metering equipment and DDC control systems.
- Troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
- Maintain generator and emergency power systems.
- Maintain fire alarm systems.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies; work during inclement weather; support campus events during non-business hours.
- Perform related duties as needed. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED and one year of electrical experience.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable under the University’s insurance.
- Ability to install/repair electrical systems, DDC control systems, generators, and fire alarm systems.
- Ability to locate utilities via OUPS and respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Willingness to work in inclement weather and outside regular business hours. Nice to Have
- Experience with Ohio Utilities Protection Services (OUPS) and DDC control systems.
- Prior experience supporting events on campus. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $26-$28 per hour. Onsite, full-time position.
