Electrician

About the Role An electrician performs electrical work across assigned locations or region. Electrical work includes maintenance and installation of equipment and machinery used in Cemex's production and manufacturing environments. What You'll Do

• Perform electrical work and repairs on industrial/mining equipment
• Install, adjust and maintain all electrical equipment, gauges and instruments
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and coordinate electrical needs, repairs and modifications
• Ensure that manufacturers standards of repair and maintenance are performed on all equipment
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times
• Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management What We're Looking For
• 5 years electrical maintenance experience
• 3 years experience in aggregate, cement or heavy industrial operations preferred
• Power distribution experience or understanding up to 4,160 volts
• Programmable logic control and digital drive experience
• High school graduate; associate degree or equivalent in electrical maintenance experience preferred
• Able to read, write, and speak English; bilingual a plus
• Computer literate and able to use existing systems; SAP experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Able to read and understand English sufficiently to interpret technical information contained in manuals, reports, and related instructions
• Able to develop, read and use mechanical, electrical and structural sketches, blueprints and drawings
• Good mathematical/mechanical aptitude
• Working knowledge of motor control circuits and relay logic
• Able to prioritize tasks and work as a team member, as well as individually Nice to Have
• Associates degree or equivalent in electrical maintenance
