About the Role You’ll perform onsite, daily inspections of electrical and IT systems on building and terminal construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable codes and project specifications. You’ll review construction documents, prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies as needed. The work is onsite with client sites in Los Angeles, with various shifts including day, swing, and night. What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive daily inspections of electrical and IT systems across building and terminal construction projects, ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, LAWA standards, and project specifications.
- Review and interpret construction documents including blueprints, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders; prepare thorough daily inspection reports documenting who/what/when/where/how.
- Track time-and-material work, field changes, and job quantities; assist in validating contractor payment requests based on approved schedules of values.
- Support special inspections and testing activities; coordinate with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies as needed.
- Inspect electrical installations (underground utilities, duct banks, high-voltage switchgear and panels, conduit racks, grounding systems, lighting, fire life safety systems, shutdowns/lockout/tagout/breaker coordination).
- Inspect IT infrastructure installations (low-voltage systems, door readers, security cameras, access control, PA systems, cabling and equipment rooms).
- Onsite at client site with potential shifts; maintain client relationships and ensure timely delivery. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of electrical/IT inspection experience; 3+ years of airfield lighting experience for related tasks.
- Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Electrical Inspector.
- Proof of NFPA 70E standards; 30-hour Cal-OSHA training completed within the last 3 years.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (contractors, engineers, city officials) and identify and address deficiencies.
- Must be open to learning prescriptive items required by the agency. Nice to Have
- Journey-level electrician experience in public works, institutional, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Experience ensuring compliance with building codes on significant construction projects.
- Prior involvement in complex projects requiring multi-stakeholder collaboration. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: USD 145,000 – 160,000 per year. Compensation varies by location, role, experience, and other factors per local law. Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation where required by law.
