Job title: Electrical Project Engineer
About the Role Electrical Project Engineer (full-time) in Mannheim will apply electrical engineering expertise to integrate electrical assemblies into the vehicle, lead a multidisciplinary Services Engineering Team, and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including System Engineering, Safety, Purchasing and Manufacturing, and align with the Center of Expertise Elektrik and harness industrialization.
What You'll Do
- Functionally lead a multidisciplinary Services Engineering Team and ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.
- Take responsibility for all electrotechnical assemblies and work packages and integrate them into the vehicle.
- Create and review functional electrical schematics and plan/execute design reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (System Engineering, Safety, Procurement, Manufacturing).
- Coordinate with the Center of Expertise Elektrik and oversee the industrialization of cable harnesses.
- Report to the Train Electrical Metier Manager and maintain strong internal/external stakeholder alignment.
- Ensure alignment with schedules and budgets across projects.
What We're Looking For
- A completed degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications with relevant professional experience.
- Experience in creating functional electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of ECAD software, preferably E3 and Ruplan.
- At least five years of experience in leading a team.
- Understanding of rail systems/functions and the industrialization/manufacture of cable harnesses.
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
