The position is based in Virginia while supporting expansion efforts in manufacturing sites based in Virginia and Monterrey, Mexico. You'll coordinate activities between engineering, design, and construction teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant project execution. Your role will involve managing timelines, supplier relationships, and ensuring adherence to approved designs, LEGO standards, and international codes.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Ensure value engineering is considered throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee quality of installations on site and coordinate technical layouts with factory standards.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a technical liaison with key LEGO stakeholders (MD&I, IT, Security, WS&O).
  • Involve stakeholders for alignment and decisions needed for engineering delivery.

Communication

  • Experience in electrical design and project management.
  • Experience with large industrial expansion projects, including greenfield and brownfield.
  • Strong relationship management with general contractors and our LEGO suppliers.
  • Understanding of local and international electrical design standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV), and low voltage (LV) distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with power systems, monitoring systems, and industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience in global construction and commissioning processes.
  • Knowledge of international codes/standards (IEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEC, ISO).

What You'll Build

You'll lead efforts to ensure electrical designs meet LEGO standards, guide teams on design components, and improve project quality through data-driven recommendations. You'll support the standardization of design processes and documentation, partner with stakeholders across the value chain, and expand innovative design strategies globally.

Life on the Team

You'll work with a team of specialists who collaborate closely across functions, taking ownership of your work and approaching challenges with a practical mindset. You'll thrive by building strong relationships, supporting others' learning, and contributing to shared goals.

What Success Looks Like

Success means consistently delivering stable electrical design performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work closely with colleagues and partners across the value chain to strengthen capabilities, improve processes, and create lasting impact.
