About the Role Georgia-Pacific's MDF plant in Mt Jewett, PA has an opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Technician. This role installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical equipment, and performs preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and production goals. The position includes on-site work, training, and a rotating shift schedule. What You'll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and circuits within the mill to support long-term quality and production goals.
- Maintain, program, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Maintain and troubleshoot circuits and components on pneumatic systems, control devices, and hydraulic equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to troubleshoot and install equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Complete training Monday-Friday on days for the first 3-6 months; after training, work 12-hour rotating shifts on a modified Dupont schedule (14 of every 18 days) with every other weekend required; holiday, weekend, and overtime work may be necessary. What We're Looking For
