Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor provides functional oversight of a plant location or segment of a larger department. Under management direction, this role implements business objectives, strategies, and plans, leads daily maintenance activities, and ensures safe, reliable plant operations while coordinating with other departments. What You'll Do

• Plan and manage the work of the functional group.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by observing safety and security procedures, and reporting/correcting potentially unsafe conditions as outlined in the PacifiCorp Accident Prevention Manual.
• Ensure employees are accountable to work safely and productively, as directed by management.
• Oversee represented employees within the guidelines of the applicable working agreement.
• Oversee daily maintenance activities in the assigned area of a plant, in accordance with the company’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Implement business objectives, strategies and plans; monitor and control costs.
• Ensure timely and reliable maintenance of the plant facility.
• Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with Administration, Engineering, and Operations.
• Perform project management on unit outages, major overhauls and other projects; prepare Scope of Work for contractor pricing.
• Lead the functional team, provide guidance and recommendations; participate in employee performance reviews.
• Flag performance and personnel issues for people manager resolution. What We're Looking For
• The equivalent combination of journeymen electrician level experience and education or bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
• A minimum of five years of electrical maintenance experience in a power plant or similar industrial facility.
• Must be flexible and available in responding to after-hour emergencies.
• Commitment and dedication to manage projects or assignments through completion.
• Ability to use computer applications for written communication, planning, budgeting and project scheduling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate expectations, coach employees, provide feedback, and work collaboratively with other departments.
• Leadership and teamwork skills to develop and promote cooperative working relationships within their crew, other maintenance crews and among departments.
• Ability to make timely decisions.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
• Basic computer skills, including e-mail and word processing. Nice to Have
• Supervisory skills including the ability to implement action plans for achieving objectives, and to manage daily operations toward long term objectives.
• Knowledge of power plant operations and plant systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems.
• Familiarity with precision maintenance practices.
• Technical knowledge and problem solving skills for electrical maintenance of equipment used in power generation.
• Experience with bargaining unit environments and collective bargaining agreements.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
• Previous experience as an electrical maintenance supervisor at an industrial facility or power plant. Compensation & Benefits
• Hiring Range: $102,000-$140,250 annually. Eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15% of salary.
