About the Role
An Electrical Fitter will join the High Capacity Signalling (HCS) project in Perth to install, maintain and repair onboard signalling and communications equipment across Perth's rail network. You will perform planned and reactive electrical works, test and validate installations, and support safe operation of complex train control systems. The role is based onsite at Nowergup with day and afternoon shifts and no FIFO, offering closer-to-home work-life balance.
What You'll Do
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical works, including installation, repair and maintenance of signalling and communications equipment
- Work on complex train control systems, networking equipment and monitoring equipment
- Perform post-work testing and validation as necessary
- Update the Maintenance Management System with all work carried out
- Ensure safe working practices by adhering to all safety rules, regulations and operating procedures
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent electrical trades certificate issued by a recognised Australian training organisation)
- Unrestricted Electrical Workers Licence - WA
- Well-developed problem resolution skills
- This position requires full working rights in Australia
