Job title: Electrical Engineering Technology Instructor
About the Role The School of Engineering is seeking an instructor in electrical engineering to teach courses in the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Program. The role involves delivering instruction in areas of expertise, maintaining program integrity, and supporting Liberty University's mission and student experience within a biblically informed Christian worldview.
What You'll Do
- Teach courses in Electrical Systems, Analog and Digital Electronics, Industrial Automation and Control, Embedded Systems, and PLC Fundamentals as part of the BS in Engineering Technology.
- Maintain the integrity of course and instructional programs and ensure delivery aligns with university mission.
- Contribute to curriculum development for residential and distance education environments.
- Engage in research/scholarship or creative activity as appropriate to the college/school and service to students and discipline.
- Support a 10-month contract with a 30 load-hour schedule; release from contracted teaching load determined by the Dean per Liberty University Faculty Handbook.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Expertise in Electrical Systems, Analog and Digital Electronics, Industrial Automation and Control, Embedded Systems, and PLC Fundamentals.
- At least 18 hours of graduate credit in the specific teaching field.
- Ability to teach and uphold Liberty University's mission and Christian worldview.
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to curriculum development for both residential and distance education environments (optional).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $61,100 - $81,000 per year (USD).
