Electrical Engineer

Job Description

• Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on the electrical systems of cylinder manufacturing machines such as hydraulic presses, trimming machines, welding machines, the heat treatment line, hydrostatic testing machines, and coating lines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, monitor PLC inputs and outputs, and support minor program modifications to ensure smooth operation of automated production equipment.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical control panels, motor starters, relays, contactors, overloads, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Maintain and calibrate industrial sensors and instrumentation including proximity sensors, limit switches, temperature controllers, pressure transmitters, and safety detection systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose electrical faults, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new machines, ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, and enforce proper lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance activities.
• Maintain plant electrical infrastructure including transformers, MCC panels, switchgear, distribution boards, and industrial motors to ensure a reliable power supply to all production equipment.
• Support implementation and compliance with ISO 9001 : 2015 by adhering to documented maintenance procedures, maintaining accurate maintenance records, participate in internal audits and contribute to continous improvement initiatives in plant operations.

Job Requirements

• B.Tech / B. Sc in Electrical engineering , Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 5 years experience in a textile company or foundry company
• 4 - 6 years experience in industrial Electrical maintenance ( preferably LPG cylinder manufacturing or heavy manufacturing environment )

• Installations of appliances and equipment.
• Electrical Circuit design knowledge.
• Electrical/Electronic Control Panel/Maintenance/Troubleshooting/Repair.
• Electronic equipment maintenance.
• Plc programming/Troubleshooting.
• Utilities equipment maintenance i.e. Chiller, Generator, Compressor and Vaporizer.
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic equipment knowledge.
