About the Role Reporting to the Associate Director of Engineering, this role provides Electrical Engineering support to approximately 70 plants within the division. The candidate will partner with Plant Managers, Plant Maintenance Managers, and Capital Project Engineering teams to deliver engineering solutions and support capital projects, with a focus on electrical power distribution and troubleshooting. What You'll Do
- Provide Electrical Engineering support to capital projects through design and implementation.
- Work on large- and small-scale initiatives with minimal direct supervisor oversight.
- Collaborate with Plant Managers, Plant Maintenance Managers, and Capital Project Engineering teams to deliver engineering solutions.
- Be willing to work extended hours and travel 20-30% of the time, including weekends as needed.
- Assist mills in electrical troubleshooting when required.
- Utilize CAD and project management software, plus Word and Excel, to document and manage engineering work. What We're Looking For
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Electrical Engineering required.
- 7+ years of electrical power distribution experience including power system troubleshooting and design.
- Strong knowledge of Arc Flash requirements for industrial applications and NEC.
- Experience with industrial electrical distribution from 5kVAC to 120VAC, motor controls, plant lighting, and coordinated drive controls.
- Experience with CAD and project management software; advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to assist mills in electrical troubleshooting.
