Responsibilities

  • Work on generator control panels, AMF/ATS panels, synchronization systems, protection systems, and distribution panels.
  • Carry out electrical wiring, termination, cabling, and connection of generating equipment.
  • Interpret and work with electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Configure and troubleshoot generator controllers, protection relays, meters, sensors, and monitoring systems.
  • Ensure proper integration of generators with electrical distribution systems.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning checks and electrical tests on generating sets and related equipment.
  • Perform load-bank testing and functional testing of generators.
  • Verify voltage, current, frequency, phase sequence, insulation resistance, earthing, and other electrical parameters.
  • Identify and rectify electrical faults before equipment is delivered or commissioned.
  • Participate in site installation, commissioning, testing, and handover of generating systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in generators, control panels, switchgear, and distribution systems.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Investigate recurring electrical failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Support maintenance teams during major repairs and equipment overhauls.
  • Ensure electrical components and systems are maintained in good working condition.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 1 - 2 years experience.
