Electrical Engineers at Kiewit drive the power, control, and energy systems that support major industrial and infrastructure projects. The work is practical and build-focused: you design systems that must perform in the real world, collaborate directly with construction teams to bring designs to life, and tackle challenges that require both technical depth and field-ready thinking. We are seeking strong electrical engineers with power and industrial design experience and 5+ years of experience to support a broad scope of projects within our Industrial sector. Full-time candidates in Calgary, AB, or remote candidates on a contract basis will be considered. US or Canadian citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical power, control, and energy systems for industrial projects within Kiewit’s Industrial sector.
- Collaborate directly with construction teams to implement designs in the field.
- Address complex design challenges with a combination of technical depth and practical, constructible solutions.
- Contribute to detailed design work and emphasize constructability and safety from early project phases.
- Adapt to opportunities across a broad scope of industrial projects and locations, including potential remote or office-based assignments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience with power and industrial design.
- Experience with detailed design.
- Citizenship of the United States or Canada.
- Availability for full-time work; remote contract arrangements may be considered.
