About the Role KAIROS, Inc is seeking an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Electrical Engineer, Junior, to join our team. This position is onsite in Newport, Rhode Island and contingent upon contract award. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment for various systems within defense, aerospace, and utility environments. What You'll Do
- Design new products, write performance requirements, and develop maintenance schedules.
- Test equipment, solve operating problems, and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Design, develop, test, and supervise manufacturing of electrical/electronic equipment such as broadcast/communications systems, motors, controls, lighting, wiring in buildings/vehicles/aircraft/radar/navigation, and transmission devices for utilities. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- Experience with cable block diagrams, cable run sheets, and cable fabrication drawings; MATLAB experience.
- Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills; excellent verbal and written communication; detail oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment and to work independently; multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
- Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for Active Secret Security Clearance; position requires security investigation.
- Onsite role in Newport, Rhode Island. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $68,000-$85,000 per year (USD).
