Job title: Electrical Engineer - High Voltage System Function Test
About the Role Join Volkswagen Group of America as an Electrical Engineer focusing on High Voltage System Function Test in Chattanooga. You will identify and maintain test routes, organize dynamic/static test plans, and execute end-to-end testing of high-voltage vehicle systems, while ensuring documentation and data integrity across production and field launches. The role is hybrid (office and home-based) and involves collaboration with R&D Germany and North American teams to optimize quality, performance, and cost.
What You'll Do
- Identify, confirm, and maintain a database of test routes for field drives based on destination and test features.
- Organize static and dynamic test plans and coordinate with interested participants.
- Execute all phases of the test and evaluation from planning, vehicle preparation, test execution, results documentation and follow up.
- Provide documentation on electrical communication errors during production in Chattanooga or during the launch phase of vehicles in the field; upload documentation to the central database and follow up directly with responsible engineers for resolution.
- Provide local support for necessary improvement/change regarding the electrical vehicle application for North American region and seek optimization in terms of quality/performance/cost with support from R&D Germany.
- Maintain a fleet of test vehicles with the latest software and hardware levels; maintain test benches and simulators with the latest levels and preparation for testing activities.
- Travel up to 40% domestically.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field of study or foreign degree equivalent and 24 months experience.
- Experience must include vehicle control systems bench test, evaluation, diagnostic; Jira/Confluence.
- Up to 40% domestic travel.
