Electrical Cable Field Engineer at ENGIE Laborelec
A position based in Linkebeek, Belgium, with travel within Belgium and Europe. You will join the Electrical Cluster, a team of experts and technicians, and play a key role in both operational projects and technical expertise development. The role combines practical field experience with deep technical knowledge, performing measurements on cable systems at industrial sites and power plants to ensure reliability and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform measurements and inspections on electrical cables at industrial sites and power plants.
- Detect and locate cable faults, analyze results, and report findings.
- Plan and carry out fieldwork independently, often traveling across Belgium.
- Work closely with colleagues and clients to ensure safe and reliable cable operations.
- Contribute to improving methods and share knowledge within the team.
Requirements

Degree in electricity or electrical engineering.

At least 3 years of practical experience with electrical cables or similar fieldwork.

Hands-on, safety-minded, and comfortable working independently on site.

Able to communicate in at least two of Dutch, French, and English.

Holds a driving license and is willing to travel frequently.

Team-oriented, flexible, eager to learn and grow, and open to evolving toward a test lead or expert role within the team.

Main location in Linkebeek (10 km from Brussels), with occasional travel within Belgium and Europe depending on projects.
