Volt is immediately hiring for a 2nd Shift Electro-Mechanical Assembler II @ $23.00 an hour in San Diego, CA.
As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler II you will:
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly, repair, and rework of electrical transformers, power supplies, and magnetic assemblies.
- Perform production hand soldering and electrical assembly.
- Read and follow electromechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, electronic schematics, and work instructions.
- Assemble, route, connect, and secure electrical and mechanical components using hand tools and measurement devices.
- Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Complete production documentation and data entry using basic computer systems and internal software.
- Follow required safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized manufacturing work area.
The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or related vocational/technical education.

Minimum 1 year of electro-mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or manufacturing experience.

Minimum 1 year of production hand-soldering experience.

Experience reading electromechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Ability to lift and move components weighing up to 25 lbs. unassisted.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
-
J-STD-001 soldering certification.
-
Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, electrical testing, transformers, power supplies, or magnetic assemblies.

Familiarity with AS9100, ISO-certified, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environments.

Pay Rate: $23.00 an hour

Shift/Hours: 2nd Shift, 9/80 work schedule; specific hours to be determined

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
