Electric Operations Resource Coordinator III

We are looking for an Electric Operations Resource Coordinator III to support utility field operations in Providence, Rhode Island. This Long-term Contract position is based onsite five days per week and focuses on coordinating schedules, permits, reporting, and work readiness for maintenance, construction, and customer-driven projects. The role partners closely with operations leaders and field teams to keep crews productive, maintain accurate records, and help ensure work is prepared in time to meet operational and regulatory expectations.

• Coordinate daily scheduling, dispatch activity, and workload tracking for internal teams and contractor crews to maximize field productivity.

• Prepare and submit road opening and related permit applications in line with municipal requirements and established timelines.

• Maintain accurate information in work management tools, spreadsheets, and trackers to support reporting, compliance monitoring, and progress visibility.

• Review permit status and follow up on outstanding approvals to help keep projects moving without unnecessary delays.

• Assemble work packets and confirm required documentation, approvals, and prerequisites are in place before field work begins.

• Work with supervisors, foremen, and other stakeholders to balance short-term staffing needs with longer-range work plan priorities.

• Build productive relationships with local permitting agencies and municipal representatives to support timely authorization of planned work.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and promote more efficient methods for coordinating resources, permits, and project readiness.

• Provide backup support on permit-related matters and assist with training team members involved in coordination and permitting activities.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience, or an associate degree with substantial related experience.

• At least 2 years of hands-on Microsoft Excel experience, including tracking, reporting, and data organization.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications and general computer-based work management tools.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills for working with field personnel, leadership, contractors, and external agencies.

• Ability to work a fully onsite schedule five days per week and adjust hours when business needs require flexibility.

• Willingness to travel to multiple work locations within the state as needed.

• Utility industry experience is preferred, and familiarity with OpenGrid is considered an advantage.
