Job title: E&I Technician
About the Role We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to support planning, procurement and documentation for electrical and instrumentation maintenance at our Perdue Hill cellulose facility. The role works closely with Supervisors, Maintenance Planners and Operations and is a key resource for the preventative maintenance program, including on-call rotations for facility emergencies and off-shift needs. You will be required to follow all safety and compliance guidelines the company sets forth. This position starts at $26.80 hourly or more based on experience/ability. Regular schedule is 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday-Friday, with opportunities to work other shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
What You'll Do
- Perform electrical maintenance tasks relative to the maintenance department's workload
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders
- Monitor equipment and machinery for electrical maintenance deficiencies
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work environment
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, and controls
- Perform work in high and/or confined spaces
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years or more of electrical experience in industrial manufacturing or the military OR a two (2) year technical degree with one (1) year or more of electrical experience in industrial manufacturing or the military
- Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLCs, A/C and D/C motors, motor controllers and drives
- Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
Nice to Have
- Understanding P&IDs, installing process control equipment, performing instrument calibrations, and repairing control valves
- Experience with low voltage D/C systems, 480V MCCs, 15kV Switchgear, and other electrical related equipment
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel for data entry and document creation

- Salary: Starts at $26.80 hourly or more based on experience/ability
