EHS Specialist

About the Role The EHS Specialist at Cytiva Pensacola is responsible for safety at the site, ensuring compliance with all EHS requirements and supporting continuous improvement. This on-site role reports to the Sr Manager EHS and works with facilities, engineering and operations to protect people and the environment while enabling effective operations. What You'll Do

• Support the Cytiva Pensacola facility with compliance to all EHS requirements; develop and maintain EHS procedures in coordination with other departments, and assist facilities and engineering with process changes involving Management of Change (MOC).
• Coordinate and maintain training and records for programs including HAZCOMM, Fire Extinguishers, Hot Work, LOTO, Confined Space, Ergonomics, Ladder Safety, Accident Investigation, and Personal Protective Equipment.
• Conduct/support/coach departments in risk assessment tools and support continuous improvement where gaps are identified; monitor progress until closed.
• Create, maintain, and enhance effective working relationships with Value Stream Leaders, Managers, Supervisors and Employee representatives and other key stakeholders (internal and external).
• Own and manage Industrial Hygiene monitoring, analysis of reports, and implementation of effective countermeasures as required. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science, Engineering or EHS-related field, with 3+ years experience in environmental, health and/or safety.
• Experience managing/overseeing site procedures, work practices related to EHS Regulations, permits, etc.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, including senior management and external regulators.
• Problem solving skills, root cause analysis, knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
• Knowledge of Process Safety / Process Hazard Analysis / Job Hazard Analysis and emergency response and planning. Nice to Have
• Recognized Professional Certification in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Management (CEM, CHMM, CSP).
• Experience working with ISO 45001 audit activities.
• Auditing Skills including the ability to observe, monitor and analyze existing operating methods and procedures to determine compliance to standards.
