Job title: EHS Manager
About the Role The EHS Manager will lead the site Environmental, Health & Safety management system, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and OPmobility standards, while driving continuous improvement and safeguarding personnel and assets.
What You'll Do
- Lead, set up, and control the site EHS management system across Safety, Machine Conformity, Ergonomics, Working Conditions, Environmental Protection, Energy Management, and Occupational Health.
- Act as Management Representative for the Environmental Management System, ensuring implementation, maintenance, performance, and continuous improvement per ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and OPmobility standards.
- Own EHS processes within the IMS (reviews, KPI management, procedures, CAPAs, resource allocation) ensuring alignment with legal and corporate requirements.
- Ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and insurance requirements to protect employees and site assets.
- Monitor EHS performance indicators and drive action plans (e.g., safety observations, risk assessments, energy, CO₂, waste KPIs).
- Analyze accidents and illnesses; define and follow up corrective and preventive actions with management.
- Implement the EHS control plan (training, inspections, monitoring, maintenance).
- Lead internal audits (ISO 14001); follow up and close non-conformities; report to plant management.
- Serve as Internal Auditor for ISO 45001 & ISO 50001; drive continuous improvement of management systems.
- Close ISO 45001 and FM Global non-conformities with timely resolution.
- Evaluate working conditions and site compliance; advise management on EHS risks and opportunities.
- Ensure proper management of hazardous substances and MSDS compliance.
- Lead emergency preparedness and response programs; coordinate firefighting system inspections with Maintenance.
- Promote EHS culture through prevention initiatives (safety observations, ergonomics, ambassadors, campaigns).
- Define and validate PPE requirements and ensure proper usage discipline.
- Lead sustainability programs aligned with corporate and regulatory expectations.
- Participate in development of new projects, equipment, and machinery from an EHS perspective, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
- Manage contractor EHS activities; ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
- Manage EHS budget and CAPEX; optimize resources.
- Ensure timely internal and external reporting; liaise with authorities, insurers, and external stakeholders.
- Lead, develop, and train the EHS team; support cross-functional collaboration and site-wide initiatives.
