Job title: EHS Manager

About the Role The EHS Manager will lead IFF's site safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance for the Taste Business Unit at Carrollton, TX (onsite). This role partners with site leadership to build a world-class safety culture, manage the EHS program, and protect employee wellbeing and environmental performance.

What You'll Do

  • Manage EHS team with responsibility for hiring/termination and annual performance development
  • Ensure the highest level of safety in all operations by leading safety reviews, task risk assessments, and safety-related training and awareness programs linked to site risks and corporate programs
  • Maintain reporting required for OSHA and environmental bodies, as well as corporate requirements
  • Manage site waste handling and treatment processes with the objective of zero to landfill through a Green team
  • Work closely with Leadership to maintain ISO 14001 certification
  • Collaborate with site leadership to implement Contractor management policies across all areas of the site
  • Align EHS goals with Operating Model objectives and lead related problem-solving and the Gemba walk program
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS-related matters at the site, internally and externally
  • Roll out all corporate-driven MOCs (Management of Change) and policies, ensuring proactive site application
  • Support and participate in activities that promote employee ownership and engagement in EHS, and the development of a Safety Culture
  • Support the site's incident investigation system with proper classification, thorough root-cause investigations, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence; ensure reporting per policy
  • Gather data and maintain systems to track safety metrics, including Safety Observations, Near Misses, and Safety Incidents
  • Provide training and support to all departments based on the annual EHS training program to implement applicable IFF global regulatory policies
  • Implement and support case management, working with site leadership and the site’s medical case manager to manage injuries/illnesses effectively; ensure proper injury/illness classifications and OSHA recordkeeping

What We're Looking For

  • Management experience with EHS teams, including hiring/termination and annual performance management
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental reporting requirements and corporate EHS policies
  • Experience maintaining ISO 14001 certification
  • Experience with contractor management policies across a site
  • Ability to utilize Gemba walks and data-driven problem solving in operations
  • Experience conducting thorough incident investigations with root-cause analysis and effective corrective actions
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and report safety metrics (observations, near misses, incidents)
  • Experience delivering EHS training aligned with global regulatory policies
  • Experience with case management for injuries/illnesses in coordination with site leadership and medical case managers, including OSHA recordkeeping
  • Excellent collaboration and communication with site leadership and external stakeholders
