About the Role
The role focuses on implementing and managing Addigy Apple device management for educational environments, enabling zero-touch enrollment, roster synchronization with Apple School Manager, and lifecycle management for devices across grades and classrooms.
What You'll Do
- Implement Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) to pre-assign, configure, and deploy devices by grade, classroom, or user profile before unboxing.
- Integrate Addigy with Apple School Manager for zero-touch deployment, automatic class roster sync, managed Apple IDs, license management, and day-one device supervision.
- Enable supervision, Shared iPad, Apple Classroom app integration, and Schoolwork management; enforce single-app mode when needed.
- Deploy, update, and restrict apps by grade, group, or individual; manage OS updates and patching for school-owned Macs; automate Prebuilt Apps for patching and compliance.
- Ensure student privacy and data security with FERPA, COPPA, GDPR; enforce consent and granular policy controls.
- Perform remote locking or wiping of school-owned devices; re-enroll erased devices via School Manager or Business Manager.
- Access real-time dashboards and exportable reports for inventory, OS patch status, compliance, license usage, device health, and app updates.
- Support mass onboarding, training, and troubleshooting; provide onboarding and implementation; ongoing staff training through Addigy Academy.
- Enable simple mass migrations, summer refreshes, and ongoing device lifecycle management; re-enrollment after resets.
- Pricing: per-device with volume discounts and educational programs; assistance with budgeting and grant proposals.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of Apple MDM and Apple School Manager; experience with Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
- Ability to pre-configure devices by grade or classroom; familiarity with supervision, Shared iPad, Classroom app, and Schoolwork.
- Experience deploying apps, enforcing policies, and managing OS updates across school fleets; ability to enforce single-app mode for assessments.
- Understanding of FERPA, COPPA, GDPR; capability to restrict data flow and enforce consent.
- Experience with remote device management, remote lock/wipe, and secure re-enrollment.
- Strong reporting and analytics skills for inventory, compliance, license usage, device health, and app updates.
- Experience with onboarding and ongoing education IT support; familiarity with Addigy Academy.
Nice to Have
- Experience with onboarding and custom implementation for school IT; willingness to engage with Addigy training resources and academy.
- Prior experience supporting educational institutions and large-scale deployments.
