- Meet the growing demand for digital solutions with online booking and secure messaging that improves the patient’s experience, reduces the need for unnecessary phone calls, and makes clinics more efficient.
- Improve access to care by replacing faxes, displaying wait times, and reducing the time to process and access specialist referrals.

Education
-
Content Specialist, you will turn complex product information and training needs into clear, polished learning experiences across training decks, LMS courses, videos, and knowledge base content. You will own assignments from the initial brief through review and publication, building your understanding of OceanMD as you go and working closely with subject matter experts and the Product Workflow, Training & Change Management teams to create content that is accurate, practical, and easy to apply. You will bring curiosity to how technology works, strong attention to detail, and the ability to adapt content to different audiences and learning needs.
-
This is a full-time hybrid role requiring you to work from our Toronto office two to three days per week.
-
What’s in it for you
-
Creative autonomy. You will have the opportunity to dig into the details of technology and apply your ideas about how learning content can be made more engaging. You will have meaningful freedom to shape what and how we teach. Rather than simply executing a content plan, you will bring your own ideas for courses, videos and other learning assets that make OceanMD easier to understand and use. This is a chance to work creatively and independently, bringing your approaches to life.
-
End-to-end ownership and diverse portfolio impact. You will make an impact building a versatile portfolio that scales user adoption across the Canadian healthtech landscape. You will drive learning initiatives from initial brief to publication, designing and deploying end-to-end educational experiences. You will work across courses, video, training materials, webinars and knowledge content, with the opportunity to take on different projects as business needs change. One month you may be building a course; the next, you may be supporting a custom training session or creating a new video asset.
-
Accelerated expertise at the forefront of digital health innovation. You will turn complex EMR-integrated tools into accessible knowledge, establishing yourself as a key expert in digital health workflows without requiring prior healthcare experience. This is an opportunity to master cutting-edge healthcare technology by collaborating directly with product leadership, subject matter experts, and change management teams.
-
Influence healthcare delivery and client success. You will make a measurable difference in how clinics and patients interact by transforming complex system requirements into seamless learning tools. Your output directly reduces administrative burdens, optimizes specialist referral pipelines, and enhances the care delivery experience for millions of patients and providers nationwide.
-
How you will make an impact
-
Create engaging learning experiences. You will develop LMS courses, video content, training decks, webinar materials, and knowledge base articles, adapting the format, structure, visuals, and level of detail to the audience and learning need. You will bring both strong visual judgment and strong writing skills to content that needs to be polished, clear, and easy to use.
-
Turn technical concepts into clear direction. You will translate complex product information into meaningful, practical explanations and instructions. You will ask questions, investigate product behaviour, and get into the details before deciding how best to communicate what you have learned.
-
Own content from brief to publication. You will manage assignments through drafting, design, revisions, final review, and publication, keeping collaborators informed and taking initiative to move work forward. You will work closely with the education and enablement team and subject matter experts to incorporate feedback and ensure content is accurate before it is released.
-
Build and improve our learning experience. You will identify opportunities to make our LMS and learning content more useful and engaging, bringing forward ideas for new courses, videos and other educational assets. You will help maintain a sophisticated learning environment that receives significant attention and investment within the organization.
-
Stay flexible as priorities change. You will shift between projects as needs evolve, whether that means creating a custom course, supporting a training or webinar, developing video content, or updating existing materials. You will be comfortable jumping in where your skills can have the greatest impact.
-
What you bring
-
The content experience. You have experience creating professional learning, training, education, instructional, or video content, with the ability to take assignments from concept through publication. You are comfortable translating complex information into content that is clear, structured, polished, and useful for its intended audience.
-
The video and course development skills. You bring strong video editing experience and are comfortable developing course content for a Learning Management System. You have expertise with PowerPoint, a good eye for design and layout, and close attention to detail. Experience with Camtasia is preferred, but experience with other video editing software is highly relevant.
-
The communication skills. You are an exceptionally clear writer who can translate technical concepts into meaningful, easy-to-follow directions. You can create strong scripts and learning content that communicate what users need to know without overcomplicating the message.
-
The technical curiosity. You are genuinely interested in how technology works and enjoy getting into the details before turning what you learn into something others can understand. You ask thoughtful questions, investigate when something is unclear, and pursue answers through testing, research, or exploration.
-
The ownership mindset. You are comfortable working independently, managing assignments through multiple stages, and following through on commitments. You are a self-starter who can identify what needs to be created, determine how best to approach it, and move the work forward without needing constant direction.
-
The adaptability. You are eager to learn and comfortable adjusting your approach as priorities, products, and content needs evolve. You can move between different types of content and respond constructively when an urgent training, course, webinar, or other request changes your priorities.
-
The AI mindset. You are comfortable using AI as part of your work and see it as a tool that can help you create, refine, research, and improve content while applying your own judgement to the final product.
-
The nice-to-have. You have exposure to, or a profound interest in, healthcare, digital health, or other technology environments. Experience with OceanMD or healthcare technology is not required; you will build this knowledge on the job.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is 70,000–85,000 CAD. Compensation will be determined based on your experience, skills, qualifications, and the needs of the organization. At OceanMD, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation and aim to provide a competitive salary that reflects the value and expertise you bring to the team.
