Job title: ED Registered Nurse - Full Time (Emergency Department)
About the Role Bay Area Hospital is seeking an ED Registered Nurse to provide patient care in the Emergency Department. Within the RN scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, you will apply the nursing process, teach patients and significant others, and document care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.
What You'll Do
- Apply the nursing process to the care of patients in the Emergency Department within the RN scope of practice.
- Teach patients and significant others about care and safety.
- Document patient care in the medical record.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall care of the patient.
What We're Looking For
- Active RN license in Oregon; current and in good standing.
- Recent emergency nurse experience; acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; strong communication and teaching skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize in a rapidly changing ED environment.
- Crisis/emergency response capabilities and calm under pressure.
- Proficient computer skills and EMR documentation; dependable and punctual attendance.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
- Oregon RN licensure; BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire; PALS or ENPC within 1 year; TNCC within 1 year; CEN or equivalent preferred.
- Certifications must be maintained as required.
Nice to Have
- TNCC initial certification within 1 year of hire or obtain within 1 year.
- CEN or equivalent emergency nursing certification preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $47.82 - $71.26 per hour USD.
