The ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Centre (EYSDC) is an integral part of the ECOWAS Commission, dedicated to fostering youth engagement and development across West Africa. The ECOWAS Commission itself is a regional organization established to promote economic integration among its member states. This volunteer program aims to leverage the energy and skills of young West Africans to contribute to the commission's objectives, promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development throughout the region. By placing volunteers in various member states, the program facilitates cultural exchange and strengthens regional cooperation.
Job Description Embark on a transformative 12-month journey with the ECOWAS Volunteers Programme (EVP) 2026, an initiative designed to empower West African youth and foster regional development.
This program offers a unique opportunity for citizens of all ECOWAS Member States to contribute their skills and gain invaluable international experience across various ECOWAS countries. You will be placed within the ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Centre (EYSDC) and the broader ECOWAS Commission, engaging in impactful projects that promote economic integration and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Citizen of an ECOWAS Member State, aged no more than 35 at the time of recruitment.

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.

At least 2 years of experience with an international organization.

Ability to serve in a country other than your own (Nigerian applicants with specialized skills will be considered).

Required documents: signed letter of application/motivation, detailed CV, certificates/diplomas/work certificates, international passport or National ID copy, police clearance certificate (less than 3 months old).
