About this role
Job title: Ecosystem Platform Engineer
About the Role Join Job Data Pool to contribute to a multi-domain ecosystem that separates UX, data infrastructure, and data generation into distinct, scalable layers. You will help design, implement, and operate across the four domain layers to deliver fast, user-centric experiences, real-time data visibility, and open data access. This role supports collaboration across consumers, power users, developers, and contributors to strengthen the ecosystem flywheel.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate across domain responsibilities:
- Consumer Product Layer: primary role in user acquisition and job search experience; SEO landing pages, alerts, saved searches, and conversion flows.
- Transparency & Power User Layer: real-time visibility; bulk downloads; pooled scraper downloads; scraper docs; limited CRUD; contributor leaderboards.
- Canonical Data Infrastructure: API; schemas; versioned datasets; public developer documentation.
- Ingestion & Contributor Layer: scraper orchestration; data ingestion pipelines; contributor submissions; review and moderation tools; source submission workflows.
- Support cross-domain linking and the ecosystem flywheel by ensuring clear navigation and intent preservation between domains while maintaining distinct product psychology.
- Help maintain and evolve the API, schemas, datasets, and developer docs that serve as the canonical reference for the ecosystem.
- Facilitate the end-to-end data lifecycle from generation through transformation, visibility, and consumption by diverse users (consumers, power users, developers, contributors).
What We're Looking For
- Experience with multi-domain platform design and API-driven ecosystems.
- Familiarity with data ingestion pipelines, scraper orchestration, contributor workflows, and moderation tooling.
- Knowledge of API design, schema definitions, versioned datasets, and developer documentation.
- Ability to translate user needs and product goals into robust architectural decisions across UX, transparency, and data infrastructure.
- Strong collaboration skills to work across product, data, and operations teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with bulk data exports, live data visibility features, and data quality initiatives.
- Familiarity with open data access patterns, sandboxed developer environments, and open documentation practices.
- Background in building or maintaining dashboards, leaderboards, or other visibility tooling.
