About this role

AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.

We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits - not speculative staffing banks.

AlphaGov is building a bench of economic impact analysts for city, county, port, tourism, and economic development agency studies. You would quantify the jobs, income, output, and tax effects of public investments, facilities, events, and industries using input-output models.

We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.

  • Collect and clean local spending, visitor, payroll, and construction cost data

  • Estimate direct, indirect, and induced effects on jobs, labor income, output, and tax revenue

  • Prepare tourism and visitor spending analyses and event or facility impact studies

  • Write clear reports, summaries, and charts for elected officials and the public

  • Present findings to councils, boards, and stakeholder groups

  • Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming

  • Apply to be considered.

  • Requirements

  • Cost-benefit or return-on-investment analysis for public projects

  • Degree in economics, regional science, or public policy
