About this role
Corewell Health is hiring a full-time Echo Technologist for its Watervliet, MI location, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus available. The role performs routine cardiac ultrasound testing, including stress, transesophageal, transthoracic, dobutamine stress, ICE, 3D, and fetal echocardiograms, calculating acquired data and preparing studies for medical staff interpretation.
Essential functions:
- Reviews patient charts and selects appropriate procedural methodology
- Performs ultrasound tests matched to patient-specific morphology and pathology, using critical thinking to validate calculations
- Documents exam performance in the electronic medical record and hospital financial system
- Informs patients and care team members about procedures and equipment
- Participates in departmental meetings, QA, and team-building sessions
