Early Years Practitioner

Role Description

The Early Years Practitioner will work full time on-site in Lagos State, Nigeria, supporting the care, learning, and development of children in the early years setting. Responsibilities include planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities, facilitating play-based learning, and supporting children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
The practitioner will observe and record children’s progress, contribute to learning plans, and ensure that all activities align with the school’s values and curriculum.
Daily tasks involve creating a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment, managing routines such as meals and rest times, and promoting positive behavior.
The role also requires regular communication with parents and guardians, collaboration with colleagues, and participation in training and school events.

Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Early Childhood Development and experience Working With Children in an educational or childcare setting.
Candidates should possess Creativity Skills to design engaging, interactive, and play-based learning activities.
Candidates should possess Organization Skills to manage classroom routines, learning materials, and documentation of children’s progress.
Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field are preferred.
Ability to uphold and respect the school’s Christian ethos and values in daily practice.
Strong communication skills, patience, and a nurturing approach to child care and learning.
