About this role
Job title: E-Core (Atom) CPU Layout Design Engineer
About the Role As an E-Core (Atom) CPU Layout Design Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled team responsible for the design of future generation, high-performance Intel Atom microprocessors. In this role, you will drive the physical implementation of a variety of memory compilers, custom IP blocks, and layout partitions.
What You'll Do
- Drive the physical implementation of memory compilers, custom IP blocks, and layout partitions for Intel's E-Core (Atom) CPUs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, timing, verification, manufacturing) to ensure design correctness, performance, and manufacturability.
- Optimize layout for area, timing, power, and manufacturability within the IC design flow, from concept to tape-out readiness.
- Provide design-for-manufacturing input and participate in sign-off.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience with physical design/IC layout for CPUs or microprocessors; familiarity with E-Core Atom architecture is a plus.
- Proficiency with standard IC design tools and flows; strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with memory compiler design or custom IP blocks.
- Familiarity with silicon sign-off, timing closure, and manufacturing constraints.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary information not disclosed.
