Job title: DVM Faculty Member

About the Role The DVM faculty member will help coordinate the CVM model for community-based clinical hospitals and industry partners and oversee CVM evaluation and assessment activities. The role includes educational and assessment activities for biomedical and clinical sciences, supervision of designated clinical courses and graduate programs, and development of partnerships across clinical hospitals and industry partners. Start date is as soon as possible; this is a full-time, exempt position.

What You'll Do

• Promote the mission of Long Island University to faculty, staff, students, and the community at large.
• Provide educational and assessment activities for biomedical and clinical sciences as required.
• Oversee all CVM assessment activities and supervise the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of designated clinical courses and graduate programs.
• Develop, recruit, and monitor community-based clinical hospitals and industry partners; manage the logistical and operational aspects of the distributed veterinary learning community.
• Establish goals for clinical courses and evaluate progress; communicate effectively with participants, peers, and supervisors to foster cooperation.
• Participate in national and local meetings, university committees, and develop seminars/workshops with CVM faculty and staff.
• Complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports; visit clinical partners and report on safety and educational environment.
• Perform selected clinical services as needed and participate in community outreach; implement creative solutions to assess and improve students’ clinical competencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• DVM from an AVMA-accredited college or school; ability to travel to local, regional, national, and international clinical sites.
• Preferred: advanced degree in the clinical discipline and/or specialty board certification.
• Preferred: experience with E-Value software.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: USD 120,000 - 175,000 per year.
