About this role

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is seeking a Duty Manager to join our leadership team in Bengaluru, India. The role is part of our opening team for The Hoxton Bengaluru City, a lifestyle hotel in the city center featuring 149 bedrooms, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, a rooftop pool and bar, large function spaces, and The Apartment meeting and events concept. This is an opportunity to help establish and grow a vibrant hospitality concept in a dynamic market.

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the hotel during your shift, ensuring smooth service and an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure.

  • Be the primary point of contact for guests, handling requests, feedback and service recovery with confidence, empathy and personality.

  • Collaborate closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage and Security to ensure seamless communication and operations across the hotel.

  • Own the guest journey by anticipating needs and resolving operational challenges before they impact the guest experience.

  • Welcome VIPs, long-stay guests and special arrivals, ensuring every interaction feels personal and memorable.

  • Conduct regular hotel walkarounds to maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and brand standards.

  • Support Heads of Department in driving operational excellence and ensuring consistent service delivery.

  • Manage emergencies calmly and professionally, safeguarding the safety and wellbeing of guests and team members.

  • Monitor daily operations, occupancy levels and guest feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Produce comprehensive shift reports and handovers to ensure effective communication between operational teams.

  • Previous experience in a Duty Manager or similar operational leadership role within a lifestyle or luxury hotel.

  • Strong understanding of Front Office operations and overall hotel operations.

  • Knowledge of Opera Cloud or similar Property Management Systems.

  • Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in a dynamic hotel environment.

  • A passion for hospitality and a desire to create positive, memorable experiences for guests.

  • A collaborative, hands-on approach with teammates and a willingness to contribute to a creative and rewarding workplace.
