The Hoxton Bengaluru City is seeking a Duty Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India. Our new hotel will feature 149 bedrooms, a vibrant all-day dining restaurant and bar in the lobby, a rooftop pool and bar, large-scale function rooms, and The Apartment—The Hoxton’s unique meeting and events concept. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the launch and ongoing success of a dynamic hospitality concept in Bangalore and to be part of a collaborative, international group.
Responsibilities
- Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and tests, and allocate work according to forecasted workloads
- Supervise, support, and train the engineering team
- Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities
- Oversee repairs and ensure work is completed on time
- Maintain inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage
- Comply with health and safety regulations and practices on site
- Conduct preventative maintenance work and follow up on all maintenance and repair tasks
- Perform safety inspections as scheduled
- Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time
- Perform fault repair and maintenance of equipment, plumbing, furniture, and lighting
- Carry out general tasks such as connecting equipment, lighting installations, and fitting locks and hinges
- Maintain accurate control of work, workspace, and equipment
- Prepare orders and stock takes
- Cover Duty Engineer shifts as required
