About the Role The Office of Enrollment at Washington Adventist University seeks a Dual Enrollment/Transfer Admissions Advisor to support the transfer and dual enrollment populations. The role involves evaluating transfer credits, guiding admissions and registration processes, coordinating with high school partners, and advocating for students as they transition to WAU, including veterans and international students.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and articulate incoming transfer credits for first-time students.
- Enter approved transfer credits into student records and verify data accuracy.
- Build relationships with advising representatives and students; coordinate Transfer Open House and other recruitment activities to grow the transfer population.
- Provide transition assistance for admissions and assist with the transfer process.
- Implement and maximize technology and resources to maintain communication with prospective students.
- Develop and update communication plans to engage transfer prospects.
- Provide in-person, phone, and email support to current students with questions about transfer credits.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Registrar, and ITS to ensure proper and timely application processes; travel to academies/high schools as needed.
- Work with WAU Admission, Registrar, and ITS to ensure proper and timely application processes for a seamless Academy-to-University transition.
- Develop partnerships within the local community to grow the Dual Enrollment program; travel extensively within the state; schedule and organize registration days; visit schools; present dual enrollment information; maintain student records; market WAU for future applications.
- Collect Dual registration and agreement forms and transcripts from counselors.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- 1-3 years' experience working with college students in a University setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of WAU admission policies; ability to use office automation, Radius CRM and Ellucian (Datatel).
- Internal drive for distinctive excellence and the ability to set priorities and provide clear direction.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask; ability to work well with others in the office and within the broader university environment; demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so.
- Experience in customer service with high school administrators, international and veteran populations.
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish speaking).

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $50,000-$60,000 per year.
- Benefits: WAU comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement contributions, tuition assistance, and paid leave.
- Compensation Determination: Final salary will be based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
