About the Role Join AAA Driving School as a full-time Driving Instructor in Portland, ME. You will educate teens and adults on safe driving through classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training, following the AAA Driving School curriculum. You will be trained and licensed to teach driving, helping to improve traffic safety in your local community. What You'll Do
- Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel training daily as prescribed by the curriculum.
- Use our driving school software to record and monitor student progress.
- Evaluate student performance and provide additional support as needed.
- Schedule driving appointments and stay up to date with state DMV laws and regulations; maintain required records for the state of Portland, ME.
- Maintain a positive learning environment and promote safe and defensive driving practices. What We're Looking For
- Comprehensive knowledge of state and local traffic laws and safety policies.
- Basic skills in Word and Excel to schedule students and complete reports.
- Strong ability to interact with the public and teens.
- Motivated to improve safe driving practices for all drivers.
- Flexible availability, including weekday shifts starting as late as noon and at least one weekend day per week.
- Must be 21 years old with 4 years of driving experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

- Starting pay range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour.
